Recently the UK government has announced a review of schemes that aim to improve the environment such as the Environmental land management schemes (ELMS), triggering a strong reaction from some environmental charities.
We along with the British Ecological Society (BES) brought together a panel of scientists who can answer some of journalists questions relating to this topic.
There wasn’t any new data to present at this briefing, but was an opportunity for journalists to hear about the science behind ELMS and ask any questions.
Speakers included:
Dr Lisa Norton, Senior Scientist, UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH)
Dr Nicola Randall, Principal Lecturer, Harper Adams University
Dr Jennifer Dodsworth, Research Associate, University of Sheffield
