The 2012 Nobel Prize for medicine or physiology went jointly to Sir John Gurdon and Shinya Yamanaka, for the discovery that mature cells can be reprogrammed to become pluripotent.
Sir Gurdon came to the SMC to speak to the press and give his reaction to the prize.
