An independent Review of England’s bovine TB strategy was commissioned by Defra in February 2018. The Review was published on Tuesday 13 November.
The Review has taken a broad view of the issue of bovine TB in England and considered not only the epidemiology of the disease but also the role of the structure of the beef and dairy industries and the way we manage rural landscapes on the incidence of the infection. It has been forward looking and revisited past successes and failures only in as much as they help develop future interventions and strategies.
Speakers:
Prof Sir Charles Godfray FRS – Chair of the Review, Oxford University
Prof Christl Donnelly FRS – Oxford University & Imperial College
Prof Glyn Hewinson – APHA and University of Aberystwyth
