Missing Titanic submersible – Q&A on the science and engineering

The submersible ‘Titan’ carrying five people to the site of the Titanic wreckage off the Canadian coast went missing on the 18^th of June. Since then, many efforts have been made to locate and rescue it.

While there is no new information being presented at this briefing, this was a chance for journalists to get answers to their questions about this ongoing situation from a panel of experts who can cover marine engineering of the submersible, the investigations and technology being used to locate it, and other science and engineering aspects of the search.
