Mental health of the Armed Forces – 20-year study

The fourth report on the wellbeing of the armed forces, commissioned and funded by the Office for Veterans’ Affairs (OVA), was published on Monday 9th September (embargo lifted at 13:00 UK time). A culmination of 20 years of research, this work has been carried out by researchers from the King’s Centre for Military Health Research and looks at the rates of PTSD and other mental illness among the serving UK armed forces and veterans.

Dr Marie-Louise Sharp presented the work and findings and then answered questions from journalists.
