Monkeypox cases in the UK between 2018 and 2021 – what have we learnt?

A new study published in the Lancet Infectious Diseases looks at the clinical features and treatment of seven cases of monkeypox in the UK between 2018 and 2021. With the current outbreaks in the UK and other countries and heightened interest in this disease, we thought it would be useful for the authors of the study to jump on a call and present their findings.

While the data presented was not from any of the most recent cases in the UK outbreak, the authors discussed what we can learn from this study and apply to the current outbreak of monkeypox in the UK.
