Journalists dialled in to this press briefing to hear from the modelling groups behind the modelling that fed into SPI-M, which fed into SAGE, as part of the scientific advice to the government on what might happen in terms of COVID-19 cases, hospitalisations and deaths under different scenarios.
We put on this press briefing to enable the modellers to describe and explain to journalists their models and the assumptions and uncertainties etc. involved; and to give an opportunity for science journalists to ask their questions to the modellers.
