This briefing covered the latest interim data from the largest community coronavirus testing programme, REACT, which was published at midnight last night. This batch of data included swab tests carried out on 80,000 people across England between 18 and 26 September 2020. The study gives an estimate of prevalence of COVID-19 and of R, and has data on different age groups and regions of England. This data is a preprint, so it is early work that has not yet been through peer-review and is not published in a journal.
