Male fertility- the issues and the evidence

Plenty of attention has been given female infertility over the years, leading to a variety of interventions for women with reproductive difficulties. However historically there has been much less recognition that male fertility may be equally as important to reproductive success, and subsequently comparatively little research in the field.

That stance appears to be shifting and more research into male reproductive issues is starting to emerge. However scientists and clinicians are still concerned that the research community is not taking the problem of male fertility seriously enough, and that the field is limited by a relative lack of funding.
